About the Role
We are a consulting firm serving mid-market businesses seeking a Business Analyst to join our Business Performance Group in Tysons, VA. This is a client-facing role where you will work directly with business owners and leadership teams to identify problems, analyze operations, and deliver actionable recommendations.
Our clients are business owners and leadership teams who need strategic and operational support. We value impact over hours billed and relationships over transactions. This is not a remote position—you must be able to commute to our Tysons Corner office 3 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews
- Analyze business processes and identify improvement opportunities
- Build Excel models, reports, and dashboards for client deliverables
- Write clear documentation bridging business needs and technical solutions
- Present findings and recommendations to client stakeholders
- Support project delivery from initial discovery through implementation
- Contribute to proposal development and business development activities
Qualifications
- 6-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Consultant, or similar analytical role
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, data modeling)
- SQL experience OR demonstrated ability to learn within first 90 days
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or related field
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to travel extensively (domestic, based on project requirements)
Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, data modeling)
- SQL or willingness to learn within 90 days
- Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools (preferred)
- Process modeling tools (Visio, Lucidchart, BPMN)
- Comfort using AI technology
Nice to Have
- Consulting or professional services background
- CBAP, CCBA, or related certification
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

$65k - $95k
