About the Role
Quantive is seeking a seasoned business development professional to drive our growth in the lower middle market. You'll be the first point of contact for founders exploring their options, building relationships that often span years before culminating in an engagement.
This role combines strategic market development with hands-on relationship building. You'll work closely with our advisory team to identify ideal client profiles and develop targeted outreach strategies that position Quantive as the trusted partner for business owners.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies targeting lower middle market business owners
- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources including attorneys, CPAs, and wealth advisors
- Qualify inbound opportunities and conduct initial discovery conversations
- Represent Quantive at industry conferences and networking events
- Collaborate with marketing on thought leadership and content strategy
- Manage pipeline and report on business development metrics
Qualifications
- 8-12 years in business development, sales, or client-facing roles in professional services
- Established network in the M&A, private equity, or business services ecosystem
- Track record of building long-term client relationships
- Strong understanding of M&A processes and business valuation concepts
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree required
Nice to Have
- Experience in M&A advisory or investment banking
- Existing relationships with business owners in target industries
- MBA or relevant advanced degree
